When we first visited our customers, they told us both of these areas had sadly been condemned and completely out of use for the last 10 years. Overgrown, rotten decking, badly laid paving… The headteacher and her team couldn’t see what could be done and were desperate for the areas to finally be made use of for both the children and teachers to enjoy. We worked closely together to put a plan into place. We all agreed it needed to be something simple, effective, safe and of course to make full use of the huge areas.
Ripped out and removed everything in both West and East Courtyards
Dug out to correct levels
New hardcore subbase
Laid 600x600 grey paving slabs to create new patio/paved areas in both courtyards
Constructed risen Anti-slip timber decking in both areas
Decking includes stantions, handrails and new steps
All work carried out to correct specifications by building regulations
Access areas professionally cleaned on completion
A huge well done to all of our lads who have been a part of this project, a lot of planning and teamwork as always has shown just what we can achieve here at Woodland Paving. We are very proud to of been involved in such a transformation for a local school, and a big thank you to Chloe, Amy and the rest of the team at Hinderwell and David Ross Education Trust for asking us to be the company to make your vision a reality. We can’t wait to hear the feedback from the most important people who will enjoy this…the children!
